Importing from WilsonWeb

Note: Use these instructions for the following databases with the WilsonWeb platform:

Applied Science Full Text     Art Full Text Art Retrospective
Education Full Textation Education Index Retrospective     ERIC
Library Lit & In Full Text Play Index Reader's Guide Retrospective

 

Steps:

1. Search database.
2. Check box next to the records you want to export.  Do not click Save to MyWilsonWeb.
3. Click Get Marked
4. Click Export link.
5. Under Records to Export, select The__record(s)in your marked set.
6. Under Download Record(s) into, select The EndNote Filter.
7. Click Export button at the bottom of the window.
8. Select Fields All Citation Fields/Custom display
9. In the pop-up download window you will be given to options: Open with Web Export Helper (default) and Save File.

  • Chose Open with Web Export Helper (default).

10. EndNote will come to the foreground and ask you to choose a Filter Option.

  • Select WilsonWeb

11. Viola! Your references will now be in your library. 
12. Review the imported entries with the Preview tab to make sure they are correct.

  • Information will not appear correctly in EndNote. You will have to change Reference Typre to Journal Article and place the appropriate information into the correct places. The Notes field might not be complete, if so you might need to go back to the database to complete the information in EndNote Web. Look carefully at the Abstract field and you might have to copy & paste the journal title into the proper field.
