Middle Eastern Films

The UCSB Library has a rich collection of films from the Middle East (both feature films and documentaries), as well as many films about the Middle East covering the ancient to contemporary history of the region.

Below are the full list of feature films and the full list of documentaries. They include all films from and about the Middle East regardless of language. These are regularly updated.

The boxes below and to the right have links to lists by language and topics.

Films in the Languages of the Middle East

The film lists linked below include both features and documentaries produced in one or more of the languages of the Middle East. Below you will find lists for Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Turkish. These are the major languages in which we collect. The library does have films in other Middle Eastern languages, but there are not enough to make a special list.
