American in Siberia: About the Videos

UCSB Alum Ken Martinez spent a year living in Tyumen, Siberia.  While there, he had his own television series called "Американец в Сибири" ("An American in Siberia")  On this page we are collecting links to the episodes as Ken posts them on YouTube.

The episodes themselves (although not the Title Sequence video) have English subtitles added.  To bring up the subtitles, click on the "CC" button in the YouTube viewer.

Note to those learning Russian:  Ken is a non-heritage speaker.  He took advantage of several opportunities to study abroad in Russia while at UCSB, earned a graduate degree in Russian, and secured a Fulbright fellowship to live for a year in Tyumen.
