WorldCat Discovery @UCSB is a way to find books and other materials located in libraries outside the UC System.
Find items held in the UCSB archives and manuscript collections, via the Online Archive of California.
IMPORTANT: READ THIS BEFORE DOING ANYTHING WITH CATALOG SEARCH BOXES
On SILS go-live day (July 27), we will update "UCSB Library Search" search box and the "Melvyl Catalog" search box. If you have this box linked into guides, all the changes will happen automatically for you. If you made a copy of the box in your guide, instead of linking it, you will need to make the change manually AFTER launch.
If you have any questions, please ask Annie Platoff or Mary-Michelle Moore. If you discover that your box didn't change after launch, ask Annie or Mary-Michelle to help you change it in your guides.
Create a new box.
Click on the "Reuse Existing Box" tab.
Click on "Select a guide..." and type "tools". Choose the "Tools by Ask a Librarian" guide.
Click on the box selection tool and scroll down to where you see the search boxes. Select the one you want to use on your guide.
Choose the position where you want the guide to appear in your column.
DO NOT check the "Copy" box! If you do, you will break your mapping to the master box. If we need to update the master box at a later date, those changes will not update in the box on your guide and you will have to make the changes yourself.
