UCSB Dryad Data Repository
The Dryad Data Repository is a new self-service research data publishing service for campus. Dryad provides UCSB researchers with user-friendly tools to upload and describe their data for access and reuse and to create citations and persistent identifiers for each dataset. Dryad also allows researchers to set a future publication date for data still under peer review.

Dryad
A curated general-purpose repository that makes the data underlying scientific publications discoverable, freely reusable, and citable.
GSA Data Repository (on Figshare)
An open file in which authors of articles in our journals can place information that supplements and expands on their article. These supplements will not appear in print but may be obtained from GSA. (Geological Society of America)
Integrated Earth Data Applications

Pangaea
An Open Access library aimed at archiving, publishing and distributing georeferenced data from earth system research.
Earth Online: Data
Discover and download the Earth observation data you need from the broad catalogue of missions the European Space Agency operate and support.
Polar Data Catalogue
The Polar Data Catalogue is a repository of metadata and data that describes and provides access to diverse data sets generated by Arctic and Antarctic researchers.

What are Data Repositories?

For purposes of this page, data repositories are sites where researchers can store, retrieve, and, most importantly, share their raw research data. They are not to be confused with data collections, in which editors assemble and organize data from a variety of sources (e.g. Earth Science handbooks, etc.).
