UCSB Library resources on climate change are interdisciplinary and align with the academic programs, research, and scholarly work of the campus.

Subject Headings and Call Numbers for Climate Change

Books on climate change are shelved by their Library of Congress (LC) Subject Classification.  Important call numbers for climate change studies include:

  • QC 993.5

Note that books on the effects of climate change on specific topics (e.g. transportation, the military) may be shelved in other areas. Also, many of the newer books on this topic are electronic books, which will not be found on the shelves, and many of which do not have assigned call numbers.
