What’s in a fingerprint? What is “identity”? What makes you you?
Our community "identity" tree is being created by visitors who add their fingerprints along with their “cell names”: the first two initials of their first name along with the first two initials of their last name. Located on the wall in the main hallway, 1st floor of Davidson Library.

MCDB professors Leslie Wilson and Kathleen Foltz discuss HeLa cells, their own research, and the impact HeLa cells have had on scientific developments. They brought a vial of live HeLa cells for the audience to view through a microscope during our first community conversation this year.

Dr. Kathleen Foltz was invited to speak about her research and HeLa cells, and she displayed live cells through the microscope projected on the overhead screen.
