UCSB sustainability is a conglomeration of efforts from staff, students, administrators, and faculty across the campus. We work in a decentralized manner through partnerships in an informal network to implement changes and improvements.
The California Business Alliance for a Green Economy was created to amplify the business voice in support of policies to help move us toward cleaner energy, less dependence on fossil fuel, and to help us avoid the economic and social disruptions associated with climate change.
The California Higher Education Sustainability Conference brings together California Community Colleges, California State University, the University of California, and representatives of private and independent colleges in California to share best practices in campus sustainability efforts.
The California Workforce Development Board (CWDB) was established in 1998, as outlined in the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA). In 2014, the WIA was replaced by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), which outlines the vision and structure through which state workforce training and education programs are funded and administered regionally and locally.

CoolCalifornia.org is THE new one-stop-shop for all Californians - packed with quick, easy-to-use and reliable tools that all Californians need to save money and reduce their impact on the climate.
Offers incentives and assistance to encourage businesses to implement voluntary actions to protect, preserve, and improve the environment beyond what current laws require. Businesses meeting these criteria can be certified as green businesses. The Green Business Program provides: -Guidebooks, resources, and assistance to businesses wanting to be green -Certifies businesses through on-site visits and evaluation -Highlights certified businesses so that local consumers can shop green.
