To find books, use a catalog.
UC Library Search will help you find books, DVDs, government documents, maps other materials at other UCSB Library and beyond. Look for the button to request to have books sent to you through interlibrary loan.
Find something you like? Jot down the book's location and call number. Use the library location guide to find out what floor your book is shelved on or ask for directions at the Services Desk.
Search for books and government information (such as guidebooks published by the California Department of Fish & Game), using key words describing your topic until you find material that suits your needs. For example, try using these words in your searches:
WorldCat Discovery @UCSB is a way to find books and other materials located in libraries outside the UC System.
First, use Google Scholar and search for the title of the article. Look for the link to the pdf or on the right side. If you do not see the article, use the Citation Linker where you should see if the UCSB Library has access to it or use the Request function to request a copy through Interlibrary Loan.
