Locating Articles:
Click the 
button to find the full text of an article, either online or in print on the library shelves. If the library does not have access to the article you need, you can request the article to be sent to you through interlibrary loan.
If you already have a citation, first, use Google Scholar and search for the title of the article. Look for the link to the pdf or Get it at UC button on the right side. You may first need to Connect Google Scholar to UCSB Library Full-Text Resources. If you do not see the article, use the Citation Linker where you should see if the UCSB Library has access to it or use the Request function to request a copy through Interlibrary Loan.
Business/Industry Codes
- North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS)[Ref HF1042 N67 2007]
Used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical data related to the U.S. business economy. The SIC was replaced by the NAICS starting in 1997, but data is still available with SIC-based codes.

- IBISWorld Provides access to Industry Reports—full-text, fully searchable U.S. industry analyses, covering over 790 industries at the 5-digit NAICS level. Search or browse by industry (by NAICS code number classifications), or search by keyword or company name. Updates range from quarterly to annual. UCSB's subscription also includes access to the U.S. Specialized Industry Reports; Industry Data Wizard; State Industry Reports; and the U.S. Business Environment Profiles (these are found under the tab "Industry Risk Ratings").
- Water Rights & Resources Water Rights & Resources is dedicated to understanding the complex interplay of state and federal laws that govern all aspects of water in society, from municipal use to restoring its pristine condition. Collecting congressional documents, books, legislative histories on major legislation, and Supreme Court briefs on related cases, this database touches on a wide range of water issues, including irrigation, hydropower, riparian rights, water conservation, drinking water quality, and tribal water rights, encompassing the unique water rights issues that span from the Eastern seaboard to the Great Lakes and across the arid West.

U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's online collection of public domain still photographs, containing still photo images of wildlife, plants, National Wildlife Refuges and other scenics, as well as wildlife management work. The database also includes videos, documents, audio and maps. - FWS Conservation Library

A database of over 24,000 full text EPA documents. - Online Rand Research Documents: Environment and Energy
This site has a collection of free books published by the RAND organization, a "think tank" supplying analyses for policy development in a wide variety of areas including this link to areas of environment and energy. The database is also searchable by author, title word, or words in the abstract. - Population Index (1986-2000)
