UCSB Reads 2022: Books Shortlisted for UCSB Reads 2022

The UCSB Reads Shortlist

Each year, the UCSB Reads Advisory Committee, a committee of faculty, staff, students, and community partners that advises UCSB Library on the UCSB Reads book selection for the next academic year, convenes to select an intellectually stimulating, interdisciplinary book by a living author that appeals to a wide range of readers and can be incorporated into the UCSB curriculum. Each committee member pitches two titles to the long list, which is narrowed down by vote to a shortlist of five titles. The final book is chosen by vote from these five.

The UCSB Reads 2022 Advisory Committee welcomes your input on the shortlist, which is listed below.
