AS Food Bank
The AS Food Bank is an organization that provides fresh, free, and nutritious food to students with financial difficulties. It is run by a group of diverse students who tackle food insecurity on campus by raising awareness on issues surrounding food and empowering student leaders to create an impactful change at UCSB and beyond.
The AS Food Bank is accessible during regular school hours and respects the confidentiality of its users.
CalFresh is a federal program that can increase students' food budgets and help provide healthy and nutritious food. The program issues a monthly electronic benefits on a plastic card, which can be used like a debit card, allowing students to purchase food items at most grocery stores and markets.
Health & Wellness Nutrition Resources
Among other things, the Health & Wellness Nutrition interns deliver FREE, fresh, and organic fruit to 16 campus locations every week.
Money Matters Guide
Tips for money management and information on staff contacts, emergency funding, and low-cost services in the local community.
Financial Crisis Response Team
If you are experiencing a financial crisis, email the Financial Crisis Response Team the details and they will work with you to develop a plan of action.
