U.S. Government Publications in the UCSB Library

UCSB Library was a selective depository for publications from the United States government. The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) provides government information at no cost to designated depository libraries throughout the country. These libraries, in turn, provide local, no-fee access to government information in all formats in an impartial environment with professional assistance. Any member of the public may visit these depository libraries and use the Federal depository collections.

Most publications, both in print and online, can be identified through UC Library Search. We have a large collection of print technical reports: some can be accessed online, while many others are available in the Government Information collection. Refer to the technical reports guide for more detailed information.
